What exactly does 10w-30 mean...and what other variation would you use and why??? It may be a silly "?", but I'm CRAZY...so who cares!!!

Try searching for oil viscosity on the boards. It'll probably turn up a wealth of information that I can't provide.

But simply put...

The first number "10" is the viscosity level of the oil when cold, and the "30" is the level of the oil when hot. The lower the number the thinner the oil is, so is better for startup. Something like that anyway.
