Default USDM - to - JDM part interchangability (engine)

My project car has sprung a nasty leak. It is leaking cooling, from the area just above the thermostat housing. It started small, but it has grown, and makes me nervous since at stoplights it engulfs teh front of the car in steam (the coolant drips onto the crossoverpipe)

The engine is an EJ20G out of an early 90's JDM Legacy. I would like to know if USDM gaskets/seals and perhaps a waterpump will work on this engine?

Also, it seems the longer this engine runs, the more it leaks. Probably has something to do with it sitting non-running for 3 years.

PS. Anybody have an EJ20G I can reseal in my spare time?

Hey Tex,

Sounds like the "weephole" is weeping badly.

Either an early leggy turbo or WRX WP, bypass hoses, gasket, and T/stat will work. Might as well reseal everything while you're at it..

Good Luck.
