Default Good tire for an Outback Sport?

I am going to need tires soon on my Outback sport. What are some good tires to replace the stock ones with? I will need an all season that will perform well in the summer, but have good traction in the snow.

I'm really looking for an all season tire that is going to handle well in the snow.

Read the reviews at Tire Rack for Goodyear Assurance Triple Treads. 740 treadwear. These are on my car and a friend has had them for a year. He used Nokian WRs for two years worth of winters before the Goodyears. 50k on the Nokians, he drives major miles with 165k in three years. The Nokians are a little better in snow and ice but too squirmy for him in the dry. I'll run the Goodyears year round. Good luck.

In snow most High Performance All-seasons (HPAS) will probably work better than many Ultra High performance All-seasons (UHPAS). Most UHPAS are virtually summer tires with regard to tread design. If you don't want the Nokian WR's (which are probably the best "winter" all-season - and a great all-round tire) then get one of the tires on the top of this list:
