Yeah it's fun I just have the modding bug from owning a WRX and I miss it. I can't afford the mods for this thing or it might be worth me keeping it.

Oh man, I wish I could afford this. It's still one of my favorite cars and would be an ideal daily driver but I just can't come close to affording it. Free bump for you!

My other ride is an '05 G35. What do you think about this? I bought it with 8,200 miles on it for $16,000 fully loaded.

That's insane, did you find it at a police auction or something? You normally can't get an 03 with 50k+ on it for less than $20,000.

Not at all. We had a friend that bought the car and they were expanding their business and were getting rid of any excess property that they could use for money needed on the expansion.

They also sold a '04 GTO 6MT w/ 16,000 miles for $12,000 ,
an '04 Lexus IS300 with 30,000 miles for $12,000,
a '03 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 with 8,000 miles for $5300
a Honda CBR 954 with 10,000 miles for $5500.

Not to mention the jet skis and etc. that they got rid of as well.

Still to keep this thread on topic.....^^^^ Good price for the car.
You can find wrecked G35's that need both sides and the front clip repaired selligng for $18,000

If I could sell my car, I'd be all over this. I just don't have the time to install a new clutch right now.....

Bump for my shattered dreams of never owning one

just curious, what's the typical mod path for those cars? What kind of HP gains for how much $$?

Seems like N/A mods don't do much other than the Plenum spacer which might get you around 20hp or so for about $300. Some like test pipes and headers which might get you a few more horses for around a grand(ballpark). But it seems like the best bang for the buck would be to go Forced induction one way or the other.

There's a ton of kits for these cars for both Turbo and Supercharger applications. The Supercharger being the cheaper option, I think the Vortec kit runs anywhere from the the high $3k range to in the mid $4K range, this includes a map similar to the way the old Unichip worked. This seems to be the route a lot of people take.

If you want big power the turbo seems to be the way to go, but it's a bit more expensive. Single Turbo kits are around $5k with the twins starting around $6k. Then you have to start thinking about the internals too.

BTW these are just ballpark prices, I'm sure they have come down a bit since I was looking and a few things have changed.
