Default How to know when it's time to retire your vehicle from the road...

When it looks like this... get that POS off the road dumbass.

For some reason this really pissed me off even though you can argue it's not in THAT BAD of a shape...

I see a lot of old/beaterized pickup trucks around here that have had the bed taken off and a homebrew flatbed deal fabricated and put in its place, almost definitely due to a wreck/ rearending like that. That's what I would do...

I always think that of cars that the wheels lean in way to much, or ones that you can actually see the tire hopping off the road as you drive behind them.

Guys lucky he doesn't live in Japan. I remember the yearly inspections there were incredibly strict. The car not only had to be in perfect working order, it had to be perfect looking too. You could get a ticket if your car was too dirty. My neighbors used to keep featherdusters on the rear parcel shelf and dust their cars daily.

If you saw a crappy looking car on the road it was guarenteed to be owned by an American serviceman. We were exempt, thank god. I don't know whether it's still that way or not.

Personally I'm glad we don't have laws like that in this country.
