I hope i was not misunderstood but I think the black rims will look good with silver. I don't think any other color would stand out but a smoked grey like rims the baja turbos come with. Do some research silver cars with different colored rims and take it from there. But please, no orange or red rims, not a good look.

AHHH ok Gernaut. Misunderstood. I will probably go with all black or gunmetal when I repaint them soon. Only time I'd put a odd color would be for winter rims as a joke.

FWIW, Personally I think black rims on a silver car looks like crap. Reminds me of someone running around with 4 cheap spare tires on...

Or an old man who wears black socks with sneakers...

Go chrome and add some shiny bling!

Peace

Matte Super Dark Bronze? I think black will look good if you kinda stay w/ a black and silver color scheme.

I agree with no crazy colors. My wheels I pulled off my STi were bright white. Looked great on the STi. Hoooooorrrrrible on the Baja. I'm still trying to figure out what to paint them too...something dark for sure.

Have a Nice Day? Engine Swap?

Quick question, anyone who did '02 Impreza WRX on '03 Baja 2.5? Any links available?
Thanks!

Has anyone on here ever removed their front fenders? I am curious if the bajas have a set of flimsy fender braces like the STI and WRX's have? The best suspension mod I ever did to my STI was fab up a set of beefy fender braces.

I want to do the same thing to the baja if they even exist under the fenders.

Anyone? Should look like a dogbone with 4 bolts that hold it into place.

You should switch over to a Baja. These "truck" is soo much fun and good on gas. Try to get 27 to 30 mpg's on any other pick up out there. Not even the indestructible toyota pick-ups. Love my truck

That just seems like wishful thinking with a turbo. I'm averaging 21mpg/300 miles per tank.

Just trying to convince the guy into getting a Baja. I know about burning gas especially around the city but in the highway, our cars can get better gas mileage than any pick-up out there, ifff it is a non-turbo
BTW, i get 250 ish per tank, I hate to do the math but I don't hate spooling my snail"turbo"

I remember the good ol' days of 21mpg - that was when I bought the Baja and it was stock. Now that it's Stage 2 on E85, I get about 15-16MPG. However, where I live, E85 is $1/gallon less expensive than premium, so it's a wash.

My parents average in the high 20s with their '04 sport auto, so it's certainly achievable. My turbo 5 speed is hovering at 21 and I don't drive it anywhere near like I did my WRX. Wish I could do E85, but there's only 2 pumps within 10 miles and neither are convenient. For good mileage, I'll stick to the bike since it's as fast as could ever want it to be and still gets ~40mpg while revving to 15k.

My S2000 was the equivalent of your bike. 28MPG average, 9K red line, fast fun ... and then I turbo'ed it Now I'm down to 24MPG average on a baseline tune and once it's retuned on full boost/E85 I imagine the mileage will go down even more. After that, I'll buy a used Ruckus

I would worry that a 2.0L isn't going to have enough torque to make the Baja very daily driveable.
