I got 30% all around, and the cops don't give it a second look.

I got it done at 2nd2None as well. Probably the best up here.

as for not getting the cops attention... well I have limo tint on my Vibe with 15-20% on the front two... I forget exactly... but I also got a doc note for the wife because her eyes are very light sensetive. Of course I had the tint done before I even married her but now I can just hand a cop the note.

Haven't needed to yet... Vibes are not gangsta cars.

we got ours done at 2nd2none, the do great work. But yes, 70% is legal in the state of alaska, and that is stock. In order to not get in trouble if you do get pulled over you have to have medical reason for having it, or just talk a doctor into giving you a note. We have 35% and have yet to have any problems granted I can get the note for light sensitive eyes also.

I also recommend 2nd 2none. A couple of us Evo guys got our cars tinted there and they did a great job. I have 35% and haven't had any cop problems. The tint gives the car a nice over all look. My friend who had 70 up front and 35 in the rear and got pulled over. So I guess it all depends.

I find myself rolling down my window if I see a cop and I know I'm gonna be near him...but that's mostly at night time. LQTM!

correction. we both got 20% done on our cars... and i personally have pulled up beside cops plenty of times and none of them have even took a 2nd glance at the tint.

2nd2none or how ever they do it.. awesome work and good people. ~200 for an impreza sedan.

one a white car.. 20% looks REALLY REALLY dark.

we got it on our black and wrb impreza and it doesnt look dark at all on either car.

they are probably catching you for your front windshield tint....

on our old car.. we had 5% all the way around and the only person that said ANYTHING to us (we owned the car for 8 months) was a security guard at the gate getting onto base.

On your front windows (windshield, driver, and passenger) no level of tint is legal.

No you can have 70% on your fronts (many cops have told me this). I have 20% all around and have been pullend over for it more times than I can count. They give me a fix-it ticket so, I peel off the wal-mart tint on the fronts get it signed off then 30min. later I got wal-mart tint on the fronts again. Haven't been pulled for it in about a year now so mabey time to get the fronts pro-tinted again. And I as well have gotten good at lowering all four windows at once, looks a little weird in the dead of witer to have all four windows down so just lower the fronts and you'll be fine.

Knock on wood...I have 35% on my aspen white but i think having 2 huge stripes run down the center helps too.

I was just next to a cop at an intersection where they could plainly see all my windows. Nothing happened. Whew! I would have been bummed if I got a ticket for window tint 2 days after I just got it done. the worst part would have been when they asked me to roll down my window for license and registration but, declined because "I can't roll down my windows for 7 days! I just got 'em tinted!" haha.

SUV's and Trucks there is no level of legal tint behind the drivers windows...on all cars, I believe 2nd To None told us was 40%.

Yup, i was wrong, 70% is the factory tint (you can't really tell its there) and that is allowed. If you apply any aftermarket tint to that (to one the front windows) you could get a ticket.

-just talked to shades of competition

front windows on a car is 70% (factory) and rear is 40%.

old car was done at Shades of Competition. they are ok. For the LGT and all other vehicles from this point on, I take it to my buddy at Northstart. If you call them, tell them Hope sent you and they need to give you the 10% "Homie Hook Up" They are off Old Seward and E 76th (before Dimond). #522-8346. I can't tell you how much mine were... they'll be installing a stealth box and reattaching my amp, redoing the wiring etc, that got messed up from the car PC/monitor install soon as well. they do top notch work, warranty and guarantee it all, used to be the main guys over at Autostart/Man and Machine but then formed their own business a year or two ago. Ask Ralph, he's getting his stuff done with them.
