Default Driving without a hood for a day or two. Bad juju?

Anyone know from experience perhaps? I know a few hot rod heads personally that run without their hoods, but since my car is non-American, I dunno if I'd be a target for the local's finest.

I'm having a hard time finding a hood for the car. I got mostly everything finished, but I can now only work on the car during weekends as weekdays are filled with school work and job. So I make as much progress as I can on the weekends.

My old hood and one of the hinges were bent unfortunately due to an incident where I left a bunch of parts on the cowl and then the hood fell down from the service position

I need to do the clutch and flywheel on my car, and it is not something I can do at home, so I am planning to drive to the shop and do that tomorrow.

i wouldn't recommend it, it would seem to me that there would be things that are of value that someone could easily steal you kno? you probably could do it wit no damage to the car just theft would be my concern

Thanks for your concern.

The car however, as stated before, won't be much in the view of the public eye when it is not being driven.

This is strictly from my home to the shop and back. It will not be a daily driver, for now.

Honestly, I don't like the idea either, of gathering attention from fellow motorists. But I'd like to make progress this weekend.

Hood scoop < no hood

Ya, I've seen some older cars run no hoods, but I'm sure the cops could get you for something.

+1 be careful for those thief's.

It is illegal in this state to run wothout a hood. There is however a special part of the law made for hot rodders which says they don't have to.
