Default Some questions regarding Alky injection options..

Looking to pick up an alcohol injection kit soon and wanted to get some feedback from you guys about the SMC and Cooling Mist systems. I have done some basic research and they both seem to be good kits...

Can you guys please let me know your thoughts on each kit (pro/cons) to help me make my descion on which one I should take a closer look at...I havent found the answers I was looking for in the search archives...

(I also sent emails to each company but would like some outside feedback from you guys)

I have the SMC kit and i love it. Very straight forward and have not had any issues with it.

I have the ALKYCONTROL.COM kit and I love it! Everyone that owns the kit has nothin but priase for it, and I've never heard of any issues with it.
You can see my results about ten posts down with before (Cobb stage two with a protune) and after (PDX stage two protune with 100% METH).
No matter what way you go- as long as you go 100% meth- you will be extremely happy.

Both are great kits, but I will shamelessly plug in snow performance kits, all the top kits out there are great, you just have to decide what are the most important things out of a kit that you would want and see which kit or combinations of kits fills those needs..

I always get the best tuning response from the Aquamist 2D system with 50/50 water/meth.

The reason I say this is because the Aquamist 2D matches the injection with the injector pulses. This means that the injection delivery is very uniform making tuning for it much more reliable. Also has a map switch point and a block nozzel indicator.

The systems that just turn on via boost or RPM have the issue that during that transtion from no injection to injection the tune is very hard to get right. Especially when you have 100% meth, it goes super rich as soon as it turns on.

Whatever system you do you have to install something like the Aquamist DDS3. This monitors the injection flow and will cut boost if the set points are not met. It's a great safty net when using water/meth injection. Handy as well as you can tune at wastgate boost with just pump gas and then when it's enabled you tune for full boost with injection. If injection ever fails it cuts boost to wastegate which was tuned for just pump gas, no water.
