Lightbulb FS IL: Braille Lightweight racing battery - $60

Only used during summer months (not recommended to use below 20F anyways)

Cranks perfectly, maintained indoors and with a battery tender when stored

Weighs 11lbs. Contains spacers and foam thingy for mounting.

Will meet up within the Schaumburg area, no deliveries ... pick ups only as well.

Posting pics tonight

Very interested... would be next (28-29) weekend before I could make it up there, though. I could paypal the money, however. Waiting for pics.

I'll post pics of it in a weight scale and to prove that it holds voltage perfectly.

Reason I'm selling is because I really don't need it anymore. I had it in my S2000 this summer, but seriously, I can't feel a difference as this car is very well balanced.

On the STi I could feel it, as it was nose heavy. The stock battery weighs something like 30lbs, so basically with this battery you're taking around 20lbs of a small area...

holy cow.. you must be an amazing driver if you could feel a 20 lb differnce. I can barely tell the differnce in performance with an extra person in the car (~150 lbs), I guess thats why my car is only used for daily driving. haha

If you fling the car left and right I could feel it (with the steering rack bushings it was more evident)... but in the S2k I can't notice it (the battery is mounted towards the cabin and behind the front axle).. in the STi the battery is right there in the nose ... so -20lbs I could feel it for sure ...

I also have a severe (all six cylinders in front of the front axle) balance issue with my XT6. This battery would certainly be lighter than the Optima red top I have in there now. I hesitate to just relocate to the trunk as this would actually add weight to the car (2 gauge to the trunk is a few pounds, anyway). Let me know instructions if you are willing to take paypal and sit on it for a week.

I must say that this battery is defintely not suitable for winter and extreme freezing conditions. Around 20F and lower you'll notice it suffers cranking.

Also, if you leave the dome light on for a long time, it will drain your battery.
