Default Picked up a Legacy GT

Well I finally got rid of my little beater Impreza, and got me a Subie to be proud of. I've been wanting a LGT for a while and found pretty much the exact one I wanted at Continental over the weekend, except it was a wagon instead of a Sedan. But I couldn't pass up one that was the right year, color, trans, price, and mileage. I intended on just stopping by to look at it, and get on here to ask about it, I know there are some Conti employees on the board, but I'm too much of an impulse buyer. Wife said it was okay , and we got her a New Mazda 3 a couple days later.

Anyways I love this car, and couldn't be happier.

Here's a pic after getting it home.

Thanks, and I should have mentioned I was on here before as AK_Impreza, I just wasn't very active. I'd like to try and come out sometimes now.

Thanks everyone, I'm really excited to learn all about this car, and eventually do a little bit of customizing.

Yeah it's the 5 speed, and I dealt with Yvonne (sp?) at Continental, I guess she's only been doing it for 6 weeks. She was nice and easy to deal with, I did know alot more about the car than her but that's ok.

And I'll get some pics of the wife's Mazda, it's a grey mica i-touring sedan, pretty decent little car.

Thanks alot, I appreciate it. I need to stop back in there soon, they couldn't seem to find the spare key for it. I also thought it was strange that it didn't have a keyless entry, so I want to find out what that would take. And do you know if should have a chipped key? I think it does, but I'm not sure. Trying to find out about getting an autostart installed. Getting cold out.

congrats! i've been watching that wagon for a while, wondering why no one picked it up. it was very clean when it came in and a bonus it had cali plates. so no ak winter yet...

i work in service at conti btw.

a good first mod would be an accessport, then downpipe/uppipe, then get rid of the dual mass flywheel

I did springs and rear sway bar first... really helped the ride and allows you to enjoy the power you have. Then bolt on 00Maddog and Kiwi's list. (:

Yeah I noticed it there once before, but was trying to find a sedan. When I stopped back in they had lowered the asking price 3 grand. So couldn't pass it up. It was a one year lease vehicle from CA, so it was kept in great shape.

What company do you reccomend for the mods? I'll be looking at those later on, right now I need to get winter tires, hopefully autostart, and then wheels. I've started browsing legacygt.com to learn more about these cars.

Wow, so how many LGT owners are there in the AK section? I've seen like 4 now I think. I'll probably have questions for you guys.

autostart:

Northstart. Ask for Justin and tell him Hope and Ralph sent you. He will give you his customary "homie hook up" discount which is 10% off. They do an awesome job, used to do all the autostarts for Man and Machine but then opened their own business last year. Just remember: MT = $$$ for autostart!

there are a lot of good vendors when it comes to ordering parts. PDXtuning, cobbtuning, jscspeed, etc. i have a guy that I've purchased parts for all kinds of vehicles and he can usually get me a part for a lot less than most of these guys running their group buys. If you are looking for anything specific, let me know or PM me and I can pass on his info. He's not a vendor here, so not fair to post all his info.
