Default Engine swap? What can be done?

I have 90,000 miles on my 99 rs, so I am very leary about getting new heads and a new cam for this engine. So I was wondering if anybody could share their knowledge on the possibility of an engine swap for a 99. What engine or engines can be swapped and will they need new transmissions and whatever else is entailed. Any other suggestions would be greatly aprreciated, and also possible price ranges for something like this.

Thanx,
Tony

Please search, this is a well covered topic (there are at least 4 current threads on it in the 2 forced induction forums).

Well I will tell you what I am going to do in the future...when I get outta college (if ever...) 4-6 yrs *lets just put it that way...* ; I am going to drop a wrx motor into my RS (either the newage ej20 engine from a wrecked wrx) or drop a wrx sti motor from japan, either way its a lot more power than the 2.5RS puts out & you can mod a turbo motor ALOT easier than a NA car...(hp gains I mean).

later,
-justin
