In short, it measn anything of motorsports activities, whether drag racing, oval racing, road course racing, Auto-x, Rally-x, road rally, snow machine racing, ice racing, etc.. must pass a review board, engineering board, conditional use permti application process and... well basically, no more motorsports in the valley.

Does this apply to activities that occur on base, such as autocross?

I do not see how this would be a smart idea anyways. By pretty much having the events shut down. Such as the drag strip, this would cause street racing to increase. Why would they want to increase the amount of danger? The drag strip is built to legally have people race so it's not done on public roads where people can get hurt. Makes no logical sense, all the races professional establish help reduce the numbers.

it doesnt say that it will eliminate racing in the valley, just that it must pass a review board. Which i'm sure any legal drag racing at the stip will do, simply because it brings money into the city. I doubt this is as big a deal as you are making it out to be.

Why would they make every event at the raceway pass some board meeting for approval? Sounds like a load of BS to me...
And the only racing I do in the valley is at the Alaska park drag for uh... duh... drag and Autocross. And I love autocross out there so if this is a big deal were do I sign to prevent this? |
