Turbo bug?

My wagon's name is Mandy. There was this hella fine chick at my 2nd high school (moved to Topeka, KS) and she was like hot and stuff, so I thought I name my hella fine wrx after her.

It would be kinda funny if she ever found out hahahaha

I am a lamo.

"you dont wanna end up like the taurus, do ya? i will beat the **** out of you just like i did to the taurus, so do what i want damnit!"

just for kicks, here is a big :monkey: to ford for making the '88 taurus (or any car for that matter)

My car's name is Annie-Mae.

I was watching MTV Cribs with Snoop Dogg, and he had a pimp lookin Caddy, and he named it Annie-Mae.

So I guess the name isn't original

You just wanna be like Snoop Dogg. Well, actually, now that I mention it, who doesn't?

Serious stereoage... mmmm. I think Xtreme sounds needs to start carrying Polk, but that's just my bias

And yes, my car will be featured on Polk's webpage, so when Xtreme does the install, keep that in mind

Work time... but I'll post from there too.

Blaupunkt does make some nice HU's.. especially for the Beetle. I ended up putting a Sony ES model with the black fold-down face in mine.. thinking about putting an Eclipse in the WRX.

Actually David, Polk's RT25i was rated by Stereophile to be the reference speaker under $1000 (pair). Sure, those are home speakers, but I expect the same quality in their car audio.

I heard that some of the earlier Polk car audio was not great, but they have really improved in that area with the EX3 line.

I love talking audio They aren't a Focus, Boston Acoustics, or Crystal Dynamics (or even McIntosh for that matter) but they will sound damn close I tell ya.

I cant speak for the home audio industry in any way whatsoever...but in car audio their quality is just fine. fortunatly just building a quality speaker doesnt make a company remarkable anymore. polk has turned into a company with no exceptional speaker technology. they have no identity as a 'high end' speaker manufacturer any more. their highest end speaker's only claim to fame is the fact that it has 'momo' painted on it. last time i checked momo never made anyones car faster, or perform better in any way...seems it's so with speakers too. I can get the same quality of polk from pioneer these days. good for pioneer...bad for polk. or it will be bad for polk if they ever part ways with circuit city or crutchfield. im sure there are lots of independant dealers out there still for polk...but if you lined each of them up & asked 'is polk you best speaker line?' they'd probably have a hard time controlling their laughter.
if you hadnt bought your polk speakers already id invite you down to take a listen to a few components i have at the shop that would bury anything polk makes...for the same ammount or less money.

The MOMO stuff is all show, Polk admits it I agree with you on that matter.

I would like to come by the shop one weekend, just have to find time. I've already bought all my stuff, so I don't think I'll be buying anything else hehehe

The beauty of audio is that everyone is different, and everyone hears differently, so preference is a very personal thing. I feel that Polk are warm, but not mushy and not too bright. Something like an Infinity is too bright and harsh for my personal preference.

It also depends on musical taste as well. That's a big factor in tweaking any system.
