I know and I apologize. Occasionally I do something so utterly stupid I feel compelled to share it with my friends in AK.

Since I've already broken one rule I might as well break another.

Off Topic. The engine build is making progress.

STi block - ebay $325, then bored out .020"
My forged crank
STi rods - ebay $50 I took a chance but these and the block spec'd out good
Wiseco forged pistons - soon
Calico coated bearings will be ordered when I can spec my crank
ARP head and rod studs and bolts in the mail
550 injectors and rails in the mail
A friend gave me a set of heads and cams so I can have them ported($250) and reground($130) without my car being down. I'll give him mine later.
Steve at Progressive Auto says he regularly sees a 12 to 15% better flow rate on the heads.
The guys at Delta Cam say the regrind should be good for 10 to15 horsepower.
Custom 3" Stainless exhaust- I can by the stock and Magnaflow muffler for $375 and I found a guy who does beautiful work to fabricate it for $200.

Sitting on the shelve waiting for the engine:
Pivot intercooler mister and controller
GReddy e-manage ultimate and Profec-e01
Innovate Tech. wideband and gauge
BEGi RRFPR

I'm seriously considering the Aquamist water/alcohol injection system.

According to all the math this setup should allow me to put 375HP to the wheels safely.

Talk with you guys later. Doug

375 to the wheels? NICE

Sounds like quite the project Doug. Share the experience with photos... we like photos.

more details! what sort of turbo are you planning to run, along with which intercooler? also, still keeping the RS transmission, or upgrading? what non-motor work is done to the car (suspension, brakes, tires, etc)? and, what sort of application is this going to be...weekend auto-x monster, road race car, drag machine, or just a really mean daily driver?
