Default Bumper trimming for fmic - Question

Ok Ive got a perrin fmic to go on my 04 STi - anyone have an easy solution to trimming other than trial and error... possibly a template??

I havent started the install and I dont even know if i will have to trim... just would appreciate some info before i get started this weekend....

Also if you have any recomendations on this install feel free to fill me in :-)

Perrin doesn't require trimming I don't think.

Even if it does, trimming is pretty easy to do.

Yes, all Front mounts require atleast some trimming. Although, it is possible to leave the black plastic strip on the front of the bumper, but you still need to trim almost everything behind it.


As for it being easy...
Taking off the bumper, trimming it (and not making your bumper look like ass), and re-installing it around the core/lower piping will most likely be harder than the actual FMIC install.

Ok...... I am going to....... make a template........ I think........

But I still havent gotten the bumper beam off.... broke some sockets n such..... wasnt really happy...... still havent figured out how to get those 6 bolts off without a breaker bar..

suggestions would be great

PB Blaster...warm up the bolts, soak, let sit, soak again with PB Blaster.
