Default Project car

OK, so I've decided its time to get a project car. Im looking for something small, preferably AWD or RWD. Cheap but still running, although I will prbally want to do a engine swap. Im selling my bike, so I figure I will need a new hobby. Anyone have any ideas of what I should get? Im pretty much doing this for the experience, and I dont want to trash the sti. I know nothing about working on cars also, another reason I want to do it ^_^

Get a 2 door L from MY96 or so with the 2.2L and five-speed. My car isn't for sale (so my girl says ). They are light and if you were to strip it and drop in a EJ20T or even the EJ25T it'd be a quick little devil. Or try finding a MX-5 and gut it, cage it, and build the suspension and you'll have an auto-x monster (so I'm told).

Just my .02

Naw, just make it a mid-engine in the same spirit of the Ford Festiva-based Shogun back in the late-80's.

Stay away from the DSM unless your loaded. If I had the money I'd buy that 87 RX7 in a heartbeat I've always had a soft spot for 1st and 2nd gen 7's, but they can be costly too.

Here's what you want. With the 17" gunmetals and throw some STi stickers on there.

you cant fix a knock unless you completely replace the block. that comes from a connecting rod causing physical damage to your block. eventually it will break your block and engine goes poo poo.
