Yeah unfortunately we do have some jackoffs that bash for no reason. The mods take care of it when they can and there is a lot less tolerance for it lately.

The only people that should be bashed are people giving out bad info. And even then they should more be "re-educated" than bashed.

I just have one question. Not that Im against this thread, I actually think its necessary. But Im going to "what if" the heck out of something. This is also something Ive been guilty of unknowingly. You post something you have been told and thought to be true, only to find out thats its actually untrue. Would you be considered for spreading dis-information?

glad to see this place keeps things like that under control. I am new here (recommended actually by Aaron'z 2.5RS) and have come with just such a question, and I have strong faith now that I will get solid information.

Still, be carefull. even with this post here, we get people posting incredibly bad info. Just in the last couple days we had a guy tear into someone because that person said that they should do engine management and exh. He tore into him and said the first thing he should do is an intake

We still have that level of stupidity running rampant. My recommendation is that you hang around a while and get a feel for who knows what they are talking about and who is just spouting off things they heard or think they heard. Very often only saying it to jump on a bandwagon. Thats not bad if the bandwagon has good info. But when the bandwagon has bad info, you end up with a 20 reply long post, with 19 replies of bad info.

It seems that most of the time the people doing the bashing are the people who dont actually know what their talking about. That or they dont realize that its a forum to trade knowledge. Thats why it exists.

Something's gotta be done about these "uhhh, stupid question here...", "umm, I got a problem..." thread titles.

And if you wanted to help a fellow newbie out and transmissions are your specialty, would you go to the "Stupid question, but..." thread, or the "06 WRX weird rattling in third gear" thread?
