Question WTB: 225/45/17 all seasons or winters.

Before I go buying anything new, just wanted to check to see if anything decent was for sale out there.

I need tires for teh STi thing.

Thanks,

I've got 17 Rota SDRs in silver with 235-45 Michelin pilot Primacys (BMW 3 series OEM). %75 tread on 2 and a bit worn on the outside (from bad alignment) but otherwise fine tread on the other two. I'll throw in a spare Primacy that's probably at %75 also. 48 offset on the wheels. They're off my FX-T. Clear the STI big breaks.

There was an ad floating in the classifieds for these. Buyer backed out and I haven't bumped it yet. $425 gets the 4 wheels and 5 tires. I've got a new spare dunlop in the same size I'll throw in for free.

Why get tires when you can have a spare set of wheels to make things easy?

How is that going to help me in any way? Running un-matched sets of tires on subie's is not the best of ideas...

The're sold as OEM on BMWs sold in MD. I knew they were touring tires and I ran them last winter with no problems. I guess I know how to drive in the snow. They were listed as touring and not "summer touring" on tirerack last year.

If I could understand what the hell is under your "vehicle" description maybe I would know if they fit your car or not.

It's a spare tire in the event you replaced all of them and wanted to buy 3 instead of 4 tires. Last I checked you can't run 6 tires on 4 wheels anyway. It's a spare I had that fits the wheel. Too difficult for you to understand?

Am I supposed to read your effin mind? I don't know how many sets of effin wheels you have. I don't know you from Adam. I offered what I had and responded like an ass.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=Pilot+Primacy
They still have NO rated snow traction at all....not to mention that most people said they wouldn't buy them again. It has nothing to do with your ability to drive in snow as much as it does luck if you managed to get through a snow season intact, w/o incident.

When I specifically ask for all season or winter tires, and you post NEITHER, that doesn't help.

You obviously don't read MAIC much. I have more threads about my cars than anything else. 48 offset wheels on my RSTi will not fit due to the width of the STi drivetrain and the narrow confines of the GC body.

You don't have to read my mind to read my post title and see exactly what I am asking for.

Offering parts that are not requested does not help me in any way.

But thanks for the offer =)

im looking at getting a set of dedicated winter wheels/tires but im at odds with putting summer tires on my OZ superleggeras, or selling them with the tires mounted on them now (225/45/17 avon m550 a/s) and buying a set of superturismos with summer tires from tirerack...
