Default Where to find 'open ecu' stage flashes?

I am looking into the open ecu route. I was wondering where exactly on the website do you find the downloadable maps for my 04 wrx?

great idea, at least to start with. Vastly less risk of mucking something up. Make sure you grab a map from a similar generation ecu. the number of column in some of the tables is sometimes different.

openecu.org has a few maps from individuals, but osecuroms.org has staged maps that have been used and tested by users and refined over several revisions. I'd recommend you start there.

Yea, the maps at osecuroms.org are not someone elses maps. These were made to be used as stage maps, like a cobb accessport. If you have the proper mods for the stage, the map will work perfect. And user feedback has said they are more responsive and make more power than cobbs maps. This has been proven in back to back tests at the track.

BTW If anyone lives near Staten Island I can flash your ecu with one of these maps for a small fee.

One reads a ton, starts logging one's car, analyzes the readings, and asks questions one has not found answers to

In reality, it's a complete abortion. You learn by looking at the map you have now on your car and data log. See how the car behaves and indetify things you'd like to improve. Try things in very small and controlled ways and go from there.

^^^ Exactly, it is really just controlled Trial and Error. Not too much different from a professional tuner on a dyno. He changes settings, runs it, looks at the logs, adjusts some more, runs, logs, repeat until he is happy with the tune
