EJ 18 is low performance (<100 hp?). I don't know of any changes in the EJ22 from 97 to 98

No drivetrain changes from 1997 to 1998.
EJ18's were 9.5:1 CR, 110 hp @5600, 110 ft-lbs @4400. They had dual-port exhausts, but smaller injectors than any other EJ motor. Probably not a good idea as an upgrade to an EJ22 or EJ25, but still good for turboing if it came with the car (it's free!). -WaC Wayne |
