The gold color shavings are from the rod bearings.I caught mine early and only drove it on and off the trailer and in thr garage

If the machine shop does cut it .010 under i have a set of ACL rod bearings with their race coating from Calico Coatings that i will sell you for cheap like $50 shipped.
I was going to use them but the machine shop screwed up my crank and i ended up buying a new crank and standard bearings.

this motor was driven a few minutes after the rod knock started but the previous owner recognized it and parked the car shortly after that so that must be why the bearing isnt completely shredded.
