Default My New Ride!! AWD/Brembo brakes/6 speed ..Not a Sti?!

Hey everyone.. Man I miss my Sti but needed something bigger and abit more "mature" Here are some pics of my 2006 Volvo S60 R . Sonic Blue It comes stock with 300 Hp 295 Lb t/q @1900 rpm 0-60 5.3 1/4 mile 13.9 Not bad for stock. My mods now are Eicbach Springs, IPD track sway bars (front and rear) 3" exhaust 3" downpipe Ecu upgrade and intake..dynod car 290 whp ( Vs 232 whp stock)Very happy with it so far. I would say stock for stock Vs Sti .The Sti will take it off the line but from a 40 mph roll the R would rape the Sti the top end is jsut amazing! My sti moded had Ecutek and 3" tbe/headers and they feel about the same but again the Sti felt so much quicker in 1st through 3rd but after that I would say the R would edge it out. Even with my suspension mods my Sti handled better tho.. anyways here are a few pics enjoy hope everyone is well I miss this forum .

Summer Mode

Winter Mode..(same rims as summers but 17" rims and powder coated) the brembos are huge and there aren't many after market rims available for the R

Rear Debadged *look*

And my Old baby my STi...

Winter set up

Summer set up.. Loved the white/gold combo!!

Default You know what

I was so spoiled with AWD and my choices were a B6 Audi S4 V8 , Legacy Gt spec B and s60R. The Audi was a heavy pig and being NA there aren't many mods for it plus it's to much money for what it is. The Legacy was okay.. I didn't like the styling compared to the R or Audi and It didn't feel that quick.. I know I could have made it really fast with the same set up I had with my Sti Tbe /ecutek but I wanted something new and the R for $37-$39 K is AWESOME! Mods aren't that expensive and being that it's turbod my Ecu alone added 38 whp!!

i really like the volvo. My first car was the 850 t-5 wagon.lol. It was pretty quick, all i put was an intake. That was b4 i was really into cars. But volvos are good cars.

So whats the s60r have? Is it the straight 5 like mine, or is it a 6? I would definitly buy that car and mod it if I had the extra money.

Man I love the R. I drove a V70R, in that flat gray color Volvo makes, damn it was so hot. It belonged to an uncle of mine who moved to Seattle and sold it for an IS250... boooo!

Hooray for you though, enjoy it.

I love the S60R. I thought about getting one before I got my Legacy. I'm happy with my choice, but sometimes I wish I would have got the R. I was looking at one in passion red.......it was sexy.

Love it. We just had a wagon in at our dyno the other day...I would have rather driven it on the street but I think they are terrific cars. When I move on from my STi this is what I want to get. Nicely done.
