Default Egt?

Just ripped out the alarm, for nothing, still stalling...thinking maybe the egt probe, did a search for stalling and most peoples fixes were the egt probe. Also the clicking that i thought was the alarm is actually a relay up in the dash on the driver side mounted on the driver side fender up under the dash. Any wiring schematics out there to trace where the wires that run to this relay run to??? Finally think i'm getting somewhere with this.

I don't think any of us know what your problem is, so could you start from the begining? Is it a stalling problem, or an alarm problem? When does it stall, like right away, or after driving a bit? Is there an ignition cutout when the alarm is tampered with?

The clicking sounds like your ECU was reset and the Alarm is still going off as a result, and with no siren you don't hear it, but need to disarm it with the remote. There is also a reset switch under the dash to the left of the steering wheel, which I think needs to be pressed when you turn the key or something if you don't have the alarm/doorlock remote to stop the clicking.

If you're car is still under warranty, and you haven't done anything to it that could possibly void your warranty, then why not just take it to the dealer and let them worry about it.

Default stalling problem

sorry to be rude here but to imprezars.com, did you even read my post, i said that i ripped my alarm out and its still stalling, so obviously its a stalling problem, also what the hell would the egt probe have to do with an alarm problem. I also stated that alot of people with stalling problem find the egt probe to be erraneous. read and understand before commenting and trying to bash me when i made it very apparent that its a stalling problem, thanks and again sorry to be rude, especially towards a moderator, but i feel its justified.
thanks for any usefull input.

jbdesros.....From what I read ImprezaRS dot com was thinking along the right lines. You spoke of taking the alarm out, and were vague about the stalling problem. He wasn't trying to bash you. I read your first post several times trying to understand it myself. I suppose everyones defintion of making things apparent are a little different. I have known of alarms with starter kill messing up on cars while driving cutting the car off.....so were was the bashing?

Buster

Just found your other thread http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...threadid=92726 If you had mentioned it maybe ImprezaRS dot com and others would have understood the whole problem.

Default bashing around the bush

what is with you people, what does everyone here have a 2nd grade education? IT IS A STALLING PROBLEM AND NO THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE ALARM if you read my post you would understand that my alarm is no longer in existence. IT IS A STALLING PROBLEM. his bashing wasn't direct, it was more of beating around the bush sarcasm that i don't appreciate. If your not gonna help then don't reply. the car stalls whenever it wants, idling, cruising down the highway, accelerating, decellerating. whatever. again IT IS A STALLING PROBLEM.
AND NO I DON'T HAVE AN ALARM ANYMORE.
did i mention it was a stalling problem
it also does this randomly. sometimes it won't stall for a week then others it will stall over ten times in one drive....

I just read your other post... and while I don't have anything to say towards your problem, you seriously need to lighten up. Nobody on here can fix your car just by posting a suggestion. Maybe you need to put down the money and take it to a dealer and let them troubleshoot it. I'm sorry you are having a problem... I am more sorry to the people who posted suggestions and got reamed with one of your erronious replies. People wonder why I-Club quality has gone down

you people are rediculous, if you read my posts there is only one question that i aslked: "Also the clicking that i thought was the alarm is actually a relay up in the dash on the driver side mounted on the driver side fender up under the dash. Any wiring schematics out there to trace where the wires that run to this relay run to???" all i am asking is for what this relay does or where the wires go to and from. i am not asking anyone to fix my car or try to help me figure out what is wrong. this relay is the bottom one of three relays that are mounted together vertically up under the dash on the drivers side wall. I really don't care about what people think is wrong with it because i've heard them all. once again if you read my original post i am asking what a particular relay does (controls). To the people who think i'm a "jackass" and that i'm reaming whoever replies well, i really don't care what you think, i asked one question and not one of the replies concerns my question. so once again don't reply if you have no usefull info (graham, mr nopower) towards my question, and definitlely don't reply just to stir things up more than they already are. thanks.

And insulting my screen name is seriously adding to this wasted space? In your first post you wrote "All input is greatly appreciated" right at the end. Since you were referring people back to your first post... I was under the assumption this still applied. My input would be to get a service manual if you wish to find out what these relays do.

Wow

In this day and age of people just typing "do a search", I actually tried to guess the problem from a very jumbled unintelligible post you made. In an honest effort to offer assistance you are offended?

Without more information, we were all just pissing in the wind...

Amazing

Default useless thread

my key word was "usefull" info......
and to imprezars dot com sorry but it still seems by your first post that you are being a little sarcastic because i didn''t describe everything perfectly. this post did not belong here in the first place (i hit the wrong button at the bottom). sorry for jumping on you like that. i finally found a "usefull" service department so hopefully this will be fixed by next sunday. if i find out what the culprit was i'll post it. later fawkers
