Default Unloaded toolbox this morning at Stohlman Subaru of Herndon

....uh...

....Not mine, though!!!
Pops decided to change jobs, and went back to the Suby dealership to try and help get things straightened up over there. For those of you who know me, I spent 12 years working for Paul Brothers subaru, and decided to move up to Andrewtech in March (Definately a better choice of jobs!!). My father worked for Paul Brothers for over 10 years, prior to moving out of the area 3 yrs ago. Unfortunatly the dealership has suffered from a lot of mismanagement in the Service and Parts Dept.... Hopefully with the new Stohlman Partnership, things can get straightened out there (ie: get a new Service and Parts manager) soon.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if for some reason you have to take the car to a dealership .

Oooooh! Throwdown between father and son. Dealership vs Andrewtech. Nice!

Best of luck to him. I'm sure if he's as good as you, he'll be a big plus for them.

Now if you were to tell me that your father was the evil service manager, then I would really die.

And I'd feel bad for talking crap about him, but you did it too...and I know we both hate him =)

the evil hag who lurks in the shadows known as the Parts Dept is still there. I tried again last week (foolishly I know) to pick up a simple set of gaskets and air filter, but the wench left me standing at the counter for no less than five minutes while she stayed busy at the back. 'be right with you' was all I got from her, not even eye contact or looking in my direction. I walked out in disgust (second time I've done this in as many months).

sad that a place so close has to be so bad. hope they get it turned around soon......just in time for me to sell my Subaru

Dan,
Trust me, you father will be received well by this community. I can think of a least 5 of 6 people that will go there assuming the asshats behind the counter get fired

Yeah... have your dad sabotage the parts person... like, accidently leave a tire in a doorway or something. Having a place 300 yards away to pick up gaskets from reliably would kick ass

what they should do is put a window in the backroom (with bars of course). If I had to work there, I'd be a mean SOB too.

I got helped faster than at Dulles Subaru in Leesburg, but I only picked up an oil filter and washer. She didn't have to move > 15 ft so she didn't seem to mind.
