Default They decide to turn off the A/C, and turn on the heat

Well, we're on the 9th floor, and my desk thermometer says 82 degrees. They made this change on Thursday, and I sweated my ass off on Thurs/Fri. I told the boss that I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt from Monday forward, until they fix it. Wool dress pants and a dress shirt just ain't working. If I wanted to leave work sweaty and smelly, I'd be a landscaper.

Just take off your pants -- that'll get the message across.

you just have to get a visual for this. Everyone wears dress pants and dress shirts or suits. Here I am wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers. *cheers* to climbing up the corporate ladder no time soon.

I got yelled at last Monday when I told my boss something was wrong with the A/C system in my lab area because he blamed it on an unusually warm day the day before. Friday he walks down and goes "hey, it's a lot hotter back here than the rest of the lab, there must be something broken." Thanks Einstein...it's been over 80 degrees each day for at least a month now, peaks around 86 some days.

The maintenance guy just came by. Those ****tards had the heat set to 77 degrees, b/c the girl in the office next to me was cold! What a dumb bitch. They adjusted it down to 74, hopefully that will help some.

What a perfect metaphor for today's society.

One person bitches, so they change it for them, meanwhile making everyone else uncomfortable. They should just tell that bitch to get a sweater.

This is why the FSM invented sweaters.

Or at least a space heater. The way I see it:

If you're too cold, you can put on additional/thicker clothes, or use a space heater.

If you're too hot, what options do you really have? I tried having a giant box fan blowing right on me, but it did nothing.
