Default Can Radio show Song Title & Artist?

Our Tribeca has XM Radio, regular radio, and MP3 capable CD player.

1) XM shows song title, artist, etc
2) CDs show nothing but track
3) MP3s show Album and Song
4) AM/FM Radio shows only station number (not even station ID)

Is there a way to get more info from AM/FM radio? Or any other modes?I've tried all the different audio displays, even the permanent audio display panel inset in the NAV display. FM radio looks bare.

The last 2 cars we bought had FM song title/artist display, and it wasn't even an advertised feature, so I assume the B9 has it too???

The stupid radio in the B9 doesn't have RDS, which is needed to show station information.

I've said it over and over again; the radio in the B9 is a disgrace. Other brands are rolling out THX, voice activated navigation and the frikkin zagat guide, and we are stuck in 1995.

Totally with Scot re: the radio. On top of the points he raised, there's also the matter of the imaging, it's extremely poor. One can't help but feel not much thought was given to the radio design and sound imaging.

A lot of the times I feel like I'm listening to the radio in mono. Also, the 3 sound adjustments (Bass, Mid, Treble) just doesn't cut it. There's too much mid range in there for my tastes. Would've loved it if it had a proper equalizer curve that you can adjust.

Yeah- it really should have RDS. And I'm no audiophile, but- I'm not at all happy with the sound quality in my 'beca limited.

It's true...I find the CD player sounds far better than the radio...esp in base. When I first listened to it I thought the sub must be missing or not working...but it's back there and I can feel sound from it. Then I tried the cd player and it sounds far better....but not in line with the vehicle cost. The other thing I noticed was that the cd player doesn't even have FF or RW!!!

So now I burned off mp3's onto cd and they sound pretty good.

Yes it does if you hold down the track tune rather than poking it to skip to the next track it will FF or RW for the CDA's, not sure about MP3's need to check. It's on page 5-9 of the owners manual...

Default 120 W Amplifier / Sub

I'm with all of you on the Sound System. My '07 Tribeca Limited has marginal sound as far as I'm concerned. (Even worse than I had in my last '03 Outback!)

Has anyone accesorized and added the 120 W Amplifier -Subwoofer that installs under the passenger seat?? Wonder if that helps? Dealer said it would...I have my doubts...and it's about $300 not including install.

We have that "subwoofer", it's pretty damn useless and most certainly not worth $300.
