Seems logical since the Impreza is supposedly going hatchback & coupe only. We're gonna need a 4-dr rocket in the mix as well. You have the demand... Cadillac's V-series, BMW's M-series, Benz's AMG, Ford SVT Audi's S...long list and it wouldn't cost Subaru that much more I think since the parts are already there for the most part.
I'll drive my WRX wagon into the ground to wait for the Legacy STI!!!

I've seen a few Cherokee SRT-8s around here. There's a market for a FSTI. Maybe not a huge one, but the STI isn't going to be a great money maker in any trim.

Excellent. All I need is to shove this in the face of the ignorant salesman who told me that there's no market for sporty wagons in Subaru's lineup.

(I was talking with him about how much it sucked to lose the 5MT in the 2006+ Legacy GT models.)

As for that B4, remember it's "Tuned by STI" ... We want an actual Legacy STI. The spec.B isn't as tarted-up, I don't think, as that B4 is for the JDM market, but it's still not got full STI treatment I don't think.

I keep asking for this over and over, give us an RS4 fighter, only done with Subaru style.

Keep in mind, not an S4 fighter (which the Spec B is on many levels), but an RS4 - give me more power.

Cheers,
Nawambo

I think the STi limited and spec.B were a test to see if there is a market for a Leg.STi

That was for the Forester. The Legacy STI is on their "wish list" (mine too).

hmm, since the B Spec. is already at $34k, I would assume the STi version to be closer to $40k? Might be too costly for most folks?

I may be in the minority, but if they offered it, I would *make* it happen one way or the other.

(Req: 6mt, Wagon, high output turbo engine (current Legacy GT HP good enough for me), blue/gold option, sunroof, blue interior (current spec b interior a-ok), HID *not* required but a plus, STi badging)

Subaru rolled out the Forester Turbo first, and with the SEMA concept equipped with STI parts, the Japanese automaker is obviously testing whether the market can support a Forester STI.
“We are discussing it internally,” confirmed Tomohiro I****obi, Subaru vice president of product planning, in an interview at SEMA. “We feel the market is ready.”
As for the Legacy, Subaru already offers a limited-edition STI-tuned model for a substantial premium in Japan (more on that in a future issue) and could easily upgrade that program to full Legacy STI production.

“Everybody tells us about how they want it [a Legacy STI],” said I****obi. “It is on our wish list.”

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi tips its performance hand by showing the super-tuned Evolander at SEMA. “It’s Evo meets Outlander,” said a company spokesman of the special concept ute. While the company says the vehicle would likely come to market as a Ralliart model, and that we shouldn’t view Evolander as a possible expansion of the Evo brand, one can only wonder which brand carries more weight in the U.S. market. Put another way, if a lowly Lancer can evolve, why not an Eclipse or a Galant or an Outlander?
notice in bold^

it only makes sense to bring the other STI models over.... they truly are testing the market.. think Forester Sport, and GT Spec B.... the market is being tested....
if they dont bring em im gonna be pissed after reading this... i think it just might happen in 08.. best way to show off the last of the forester body and the best way to open up the facelifted legacy

They keep teasing.

When the new Legacy was still in testing, they were saying it was possible for a Turbo H6 with 350+ horsepower was in the works.

Again in one of this month's car magazines (I subscribe to all of them, so I can't remember which one. ) indicates a Turbo H6 Legacy is in testing.

At this point, I'm Missouri.

Show me SUBARU!
