I cant wait for this car to be officially tested on the track and then taken to Tskuba to knock that EVO off the #1 spot!
It really is impressive in person, but still looks like it needs alot of work. ![]() |

Sometimes it makes you wonder. I was looking at the CG Lock. Who is to say that one day, one of these tuner guys will not overlook one essential aspect of what they're trying to modify.
The seat belts probably still carry the same technology they carried in the 80's. Meaning the"tensioners". Under this beningn name, you actually have a system that tightens your seatbelt when the airbag deploys. As everyone knows, an airbag is a small "rocket motor" that ignites very quickly/precisely and generates a controlled ammount of flue gas, that inflates the bag. Well, the seatbelt "tensioner" is also a rocket-propelled mechanism. Compare it with a small explosive charge detonation that will "explosively" tighten your belt, so that your face doesn't move too close to the deploying bag. (My other car, the 1988 Mercedes 420 SEL has them, I even saw the "detonator" wires as I replaced the driver's belt). Enter the CG lock. Now you're pre-tightened and then the seatbelt explosives go off.... Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe Subaru doesn't have tensioners on the belts. |
