News FYI: 06 TR suspension will fit fine.

I just installed the springs and struts off of a 06 WRX TR onto a 97 Legacy Outback. There is no rubbing issue using the OEM 205 / 70 / 15 tires and rims.

If you happen to want better handling you might want to use some smaller tires, and possibly a set of coilovers.

But, if you just happen to want to improve the old beater, it works just fine. This is quite contrary to some half-correct website that everyone seems to quote as fact.

I'd like to know where the tires are rubbing.

05 forester XT suspension also works great, with a similar to stock ride height.
