F/S: 03 WRX Spec R1

Posting here for a friend he is selling his 2003 WRX Spec R1 with 19500 miles and its yellow. This model wasn't offered in the US for sale. He bought it from Canada and had it shipped here. The car is in good condition in and out! I have personally seen it and can vouch for it. Everything is stock with what the spec r1 comes with in addition to a aftermarket bov. Pics are in the link! Price is 16500 OBO!

anyone interested do a search we've had several threads about it. it has no warranty whatsoever (canadian)

it was a nice car 2 years ago when I first saw it. Now I'm partial to canadian cars but... this one wouldn't be for me either...

I see this car all the time in wasilla, dude works at Home Depot I think. Spec R1, isn't it just a badge and wheels? Car used to be WAY over priced. The price is better now. Dude needs to realize he nothing special with that car, it's just a badge.

I bought my 2004 WRX PP year and a half ago for $21k(w/100k warranty)and 20k miles from a dealer.

It's usually in wasilla at A&W's or at Home Depot. Price is a little more reasonable now at least.

You can post this on the Alaska buy, sale, thread sticky to avoid useless comments or people who are not serious in buying it. Therefore you can filter just throught the PM's.

I wanted to put it in the main thread to see if it catches anyone's attention! Thanks anyway for the advice! If it doesn't sell by mid week then it will go to the dealership they offered a decent price.

why not just post it up for a little more then the dealership offerred if you are going to go that route? Let someone with a soul get the car for a good price instead of a dealership.

thats kinda harsh to say about us dealership guys. thanks.

But no matter who buys it... it will always have that "canadian" issue that prevents you from getting a good price from anyone. Send it back to canada and sell it.

I can vouch for some of the sales guys over at Conti (Gene in financing is great too), I am 19 and they still took my seriously when I came it to buy a car, they even let me test drive. And when I go in there they still remember me and say hi. Had they treated me like alot of other dealerships have, I wouldnt have bought a car from them.

I'm pretty sure it sold once during that time. A schoolteacher in south ANC was selling it a couple of years ago, my son made an offer on it. As we understood it, a fellow from Wasilla made a better offer and took the car. It had around 14K mi on the odo at that time, assuming it is the same Spec R1.

Oh, I see in the first post that the owner says he was the original buyer, hmmm.
