Default Give Your Porsche its Own Name With 'Name Your Porsche'

Give Your Porsche its Own Name With 'Name Your Porsche'

http://www.nameyourporsche.com/

Press Release:
Quote:
There's a unique new way for Porsche owners, male and female, to give
their car its own special identity. Where the model type normally goes,
you can now opt to have the wording of your choice in the same style
of lettering.

Normally, instead of the model names such as Cayenne, Turbo, Carrera,
Cayman or Boxster, the name of any owner, his or her girlfriend or
boyfriend, dog, company or anything at all can be put on the car: from
Bruce to Michelle, from David to Roxanne to Jade and so on. Furthermore,
creative thinking can lead to all sorts of amusing phrases, with endless
possibilities. Phrases like: 'My Seventh' or 'Thanks Daddy' 'Not Leased'
and 'Follow Me' are just some examples.

With its own unique wording, a Porsche becomes just a little more
exclusive and that's what this unique new service is all about. The
lettering can also be ordered in different colors - black, silver, and even
gold - at http://www.nameyourporsche.com, where you'll also find a range of
examples and full information about quality, price, and delivery all over
the world.

$450 for 5 letters?!
That is insane, when each letter probably costs a couple of bucks at most to make.

Talk about waste of money!

How much would RIP OFF! cost?

€431,80

By contrast, 'Expensive Emblem' will cost you €881,80.

'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' will cost you a pretty €1831,80 and a lot of time to glue on.

This is so lame. I am thinking this idea should be marketed more towards a younger, tackier crowd, like Mustang and riced Cavalier or Civic owners.

Yea, except that that crowd would never fall for paying almost $100 per letter!

This makes the Porsche posers that much easier to spot.

I can't think of what to say that would really express my feelings about this.

In short, I guess it would be idiots have lots of money.

Apparently Porsche has an excellent engineering department, and an even better marketing department.
