The hose from the fuel filter is the feed.

hmm his profile says 05 which means no fuel filter in the engine bay. I dont remember off hand. Find some engine bay pics from an 02 - 04 that has the fuel filter and then youll know which line is which.

theres no easy way to tell on an 05....i have one

ive had them off, but dont remember which is which (i think topmost line is the feed, middle is return, and bottom is the vent)

get a bucket, power up fuel pump, look for the line that fuel sprays out of (into bucket of course)

OK. I disconnected the lines(from the driver side firewall) and the bottom is the feed. So the top is the return and the middle is the evap. system? Right? So the top line(return) to fuel pressure regulator. The bottom line(feed) to brass fitting on fuel rail. The middle(evap) to blue T under intake manifold by throttle body. Please chime in if I'm wrong.

im almost 90% sure the bottom-most line is the breather that goes back to the charcoal canister.

earlier WRX's had a return-less system.

the 05's have a return line, back to the tank (which is why we dont have inline fuel filters. our "filter" is the mesh bag on the fuel pump pickup)...and because we have that return line, any crap in the lines gets sent back to the tank, rather than into the injectors.

the only way to tell for sure (without a FSM) if to prime the fuel pump, and see which line the fuel is pumped out of.

i did that and fuel came out of the bottom line. the top and bottom line has the quick connectors and the middle doesn't. so the middle is the evap line?
