Default 05 STI gauge cluster color change

Hello, i was wondering which method i need to use when changing my gauge cluster lighting for my 05 sti

would like to make sure which method i need to use before i put her under the knife so to speak. thanks guys n` gals

Those other tutorials are for the WRX. I don't think anyone has ever attempted this mod for the STi cluster since the electrical design is not the same as the WRX cluster.

The STI Uses surface mount LED's, not light bulbs. While I have never attempted to do an STI, I would think you would need to disconnect power to the LED's somehow (this may required you to individually desolder them from the board) and then you can wire in your own led's.
