^^^^ LINK

IN STOCK!!!

These are our most recent version with full TIG welds internally for the smoothest possible exhaust flow and no flange distortion when welding, and TIG spot welds externally, as per Mr. Corky Bell's recommendation for turbo piping in order to ensure maximum strength and ability to expand and contract properly with heat cycling.

...image from that page of Maximum Boost (which is a great book, btw)...

...Follow the link at the top of this post for more information and more pictures of these welds, etc, on our website...

Additionally, these uppipes employ a new internal coating! Just released in the last couple of months, this brand new coating is made exclusively for the inside of exhaust parts and exhaust ports. It is a thermal reflective coating, employing a small amount of 24k gold and other metallic elements to help reflect heat and prevent it from soaking into the metal in the first place. That heat remains inside of your exhaust, increasing velocity and energy and helping spool your turbo more quickly and improving boost response!

On the outside, our famous two-layer thermal barrier coating is applied to make sure the heat stays inside of the parts where it belongs and out of your engine bay!

Brand new Wurth studs are included. Instructions (PLEASE READ THEM!!!!) are included. EGT fix is included. Shipping is included. Lifetime warranty included.

This is the best uppipe on the market!

do you have a 2-bolt copper uppipe gasket but with a 2.5 inch hole?

my gruppe-s header doesn't fit a stock gasket at all and i'm having a hard time finding something that will hold.

ARRGGGH! Where were you guys about two weeks ago!? That Cat was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and for $305 no less!! What a great price, damn. Ack, I'm so pissed, I'm going to go punch my wife. (Just kidding about the punching the wife thing) Seriously though, that catted mid-pipe is quite a deal, best of luck selling them.

Maybe next time.

Whoops. Sorry for missing your question!... next time shoot us an e-mail or PM for a quick response!

Our bottom uppipe gasket has a 1 and 7/8 inch hole.

What uppipe do you have, anyway? I don't think I've ever seen one with a 2.5" diameter. No reason to get a gasket with a hole larger than the uppipe entrance, no matter what crazy-sized hole is in the flange of the header.

I'd say look for a normal exhaust gasket made for a 2-bolt 2.5" pipe. There are plenty of those around. In fact, we have them for our Legacy midpipes but they're just normal composite "high temp" gaskets and I'm not sure they would hold up to being in the uppipe/header location because of the extreme exhaust pressures and heat on that side of the turbo. Might even want to take one of our gaskets or an OEM gasket and make the hole larger... would be easier with ours because the copper is soft and you could cut it with a Dremel/hacksaw or with a few passes of a box cutter or something and make a 2.5" hole.

Hope it helps.

Jeremy

WRXXXual -- haha, sorry. Two weeks ago though, we were right here!

I just placed an order for your midpipe special. Will it bolt up to the stock cat-back, even though that isn't 3"? Is the CU-seal gasket needed?

The bolt holes will line up but it's not the ideal situation to mate a 2.5" donut style flange and a 3" flat flange. The normal problem is small leaks that are hard to get rid of. It's the reason we made the 3" gasket, and it has been extremely good at sealing mix-matched 3" and donut-style connections. So still not the ideal way to do things, but yes, they will bolt up. (you may need to go to Home Depot or whatever to get some hardware (two bolts, two nuts, maybe some washers) as the stock parts might not work for this and I know the larger size bolts that we include don't fit through the tiny holes in the oem catback flange.

edit: You're lucky, by the way! As you can see a couple posts up, we meant to end that sale Friday and haven't had a chance. It's done now.

I was on vacation, away from technology, unable to see the sale or my e-mail. It was nice not having to deal w/ a ringing cell phone for once... I will place an order for the gasket then.
