Default Time to upgrade radiator caps?

Alrighty, SINCE I am going turbo now with this IMFAMOUS EJ22T swap, things will get hotter. Is it time to upgrade radiator caps? The radiator that I bought didn't come with one ('04 WRX/STi), so I put my '99 Impreza L cap on it. Not sure on its specifications. I wonder how much psi is the one on the coolant tank, you know the UPPER one (black)?

So is it wise to purchase 2 1.3 bar caps to replace these?

Not wise on an OEM radiator with plastic end tanks. High PSI caps will make it burst. Read the Cooling System FAQ for more info.

Sorry I couldn't find your thread.

Here's my rad. cap listing.
one on the STi radiator: 1.1kg/mm
one on the upper resivoir: 0.90kg/mm

good enough?

Wow, yet Subaru sells these things outright in the catalogs...

I didn't know about the bursting deal.

It's not a definite thing... but the OEM plastic end tanks are known to be pretty weak.
