Default Brabus CLS V12 S Rocket (Police Vehicle)

Brabus CLS V12 S Rocket (Police Vehicle)

Should be same specs as the orginal Black Version...

http://www.brabus.de/news/news66e.htm

Press Release:
Quote:
362.4 km/h: The BRABUS ROCKET, built in small-series production based on the Mercedes CLS series, is the world's fastest sedan. During test runs on the high-speed track in the southern Italian town of Nardo the high-performance automobile improved upon the previous record of 350.2 km/h, held also by BRABUS with the E V12 Biturbo.

In addition to the top speed of 362.4 km/h, limited electronically for street-legal operation to 350 km/h, the BRABUS ROCKET also offers acceleration at the highest level: 0 - 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, 0 - 200 km/h in 10.5 seconds, 0 - 300 km/h in 29.5 seconds. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified five-speed automatic transmission and the BRABUS locking differential.

The BRABUS ROCKET engine and the entire drivetrain are operated with high-performance lubricants from technology partner ARAL. Naturally the unique performance of the world's fastest sedan must be kept safely in check at all times. In order to do so BRABUS in cooperation with Bilstein has developed a custom-calibrated height-adjustable coil-over suspension with gas-pressure shocks for the ROCKET. The shocks feature six settings each for bound and rebound.

Maximum size and state-of-the-art materials characterize the BRABUS high-performance brake system of the ROCKET. The front axle features vented ceramic brake discs in size 375 x 36 mm and 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers. Vented and perforated steel discs in size 355 x 28 mm and 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the rear axle complete this efficient and strong brake system.

The giant size of the brake components and the enormous vehicle performance necessitate the use of BRABUS Monoblock VI or S light-alloy wheels with 19-inch diameter. BRABUS technology partner Yokohama made the record run possible with the help of its ADVAN high-performance tires. The perfect tire/wheel combination for the BRABUS ROCKET features 8.5Jx19 wheels in front with 255/35 ZR 19 tires and 10Jx19 rims with 285/30 ZR 19 tires on the rear axle.

no bad... my veyron will still give them the slip on the autobahn

You'd think they would be able to come up with something more aerodynamically sound for the lightbar on top of the car..

article from another site

Quote:
We love the Mercedes-Benz CLS-class so much it borders on obsession. The cause of our infatuation isn't so much the car's mechanicals--great as they are--but the sexy, sexy, oh-so-damn sexy sheetmetal. (We did name it one of the six most beautiful cars available today in our September 2006 issue, after all.) Drop a hot motor in the thing, though, and forget about it. We're Pepé Le Pew floating around in midair. We're Eric Clapton writing "Layla." We're Kathy Bates in Misery. Obsession.

You can only imagine, then, how berserk we went when we found out this past summer that Brabus, the big-stick Benz tuner from Deutschland, crammed a twin-turbo V-12 between the CLS's front fenders, creating a 730-hp monster that will hit 225 mph. Two hundred. And twenty-five. Miles. Per. Hour.

They called it the Brabus Rocket.

And now it fights for good.

Yes, now its a cop car, created to promote the Tune It Safe! program in Germany. Tune It Safe! was itself created to encourage German tuning enthusiasts to do so responsibly and legally. It's the second such police car built--last year's was a Porsche 911 Carrera S done up by TechArt. Like the Brabus Rocket, the CLS cop car is stopped by 14.8-inch ventilated ceramic discs with twelve piston (!) calipers up front and 14.0-inch ventilated steel discs with six-piston calipers in the rear. The rear-wheel-drive perp wagon will hit 62 mph from a stop in 4.0 seconds, and its ridiculous top speed makes it the world's fastest police car.

It looks like our plan to rob a bank with a Corvette Z06 won't work out after all.

That car will never ever be used in real heavy police action, so go ahead with that Z06 getaway car.
