Default Anyone else notice or is it just me?

is it my eyes, or are the 06 impreza headlights extremely dim, i mean, the high beams make a difference but the HIDs on my 06 dont seem to be doing anything, just there for style.

anyone else notice this is or is it just me

no it doesnt. this can be easily determined when you pop the hood and tell me if you see a balast.

sti's are the only ones that get hid.

n00bfull, I think racingfish is talking about how lexus, bmw, and mercedes come with HIDs and since imprezaowner27 isn't near any or in his town, he has nothing to compare to.

The headlights on my new impreza 06 seem okay...however I do notice that it is signicantly brighter when you turn on the brights.

Imprezaowner27. Goto the vendor section and look into some HIDs for your car. Its a great upgrade. IMO it also adds alot of "class" to the car...

Try adjusting your beams up. SLIGHTLY. The stock 06 projectors (non hid) have a pretty nice cut off line. So the beam can be brighter but you wont be able to see too far. Compared to alot of other vehicles that have dimmer lights but they are adjust up farther so you can see a little farther.

This is so you dont blind on coming traffic....

Of all the vehicles I've owned (11) my Impreza has some of the nicest non hid lights I've seen....

My 06 halogens were just fine, and now with HID, they are even better. If you are not used to projectors with a sharp cut off, you will think the lights are not bright. When you park next to another vehicle, compare the light output.
