Post Initial ORG RallyCross Schedule up on Subrew.com

I've posted the tentative ORG schedule for the 2001 RallyCross season at subrew.com:
http://www.subrew.com/team_schedule.html

These are the dates that ORG announced at the awards/annual meeting. The first four events seemed pretty solid, the last two were up in the air.

The full schedule should be posted soon on http://www.oregonrally.com/ with information about how to get to the various sites, etc.

AFAIK Tillamook is all new this year. Anybody know where it's gonna be run? Is it gonna be where they did the super-specials for the Pro Rally by the blimp hangar? (probably too much to hope for...)

Gary, please take a look and let me know if this jives with what Ken gave you. I'll update it ASAP if you've got newer/better data.

I can hardly wait!

Sean

Cool Jamie, thanks.

I've removed that one date, and switched event #3 to the ORV park -- I assume it moved from St. Helens on the 26th to the ORV on the 19th, so there weren't two events one week apart. The 19th is acutally better because it doesn't conflict with the two-day Eugene autox event on the 25 and 26th.

This is all tentative, but it's good to have *something* somewhere, so that we can get started planning our summer!

See ya,

Sean

Crap, I spoke too soon. August 19th doesn't conflict with the Eugene event anymore, now it conflicts with the Oregon Region AutoX series in Portland...

Oh well. Portland's less of a drive for me, so I'll probably just do that one. We'll see how the points are tallying toward the end of the season(s).

Would tend to think that the Rally and Solo2 group won't schedule conflicting events...since we're all Oregon Region SCCA.

Like you Sean, I would tend to go to the Solo2 events, as they are closer for me, and a bit more likely to keep on schedule.

OK, I've updated our site with the new dates.

FYI: The July 29th date conflicts with the National Tour autocross weekend in Seattle.

The date conflicts are unfortunate, but that's the way it goes I guess. No way to please everybody!

It's gonna be a busy summer.

See ya,

Sean

Unfortunately there are only so many useable weekends in the year. Choices must be made, priorities adjusted. Even if you only rally, or only autocross.
I hope to break out of the over-populated autoX scene and try the rallycrosses. If my car ever arrives...
I would have last year, but my "72 Wagoneer wasn't licensed.
