I want to know is...is there any shop or place in the US that would be willing to import these stateside? Even Japanparts doesn't list this for the BE Legacy...interesting

For the sake of information and people who might search for this, is there any particular reason you couldn't post a price in this thread?

02021 if you need an east coast zip.

^^^ Agreed. There could be a HUGE market for these if they were available.

I think he has to find them first. I searched through a lot of place online about buzz-specs; they don't seem to be readily available anywhere, even from japanese sources...

I found some more info on these though; shortened shock body, *needs* around 20-25mm of lowering at least, with circuit-racing type valving. In some of the car communities that have both AGX and buzz specs to compare, the AGX's stiffer settings seem to be equivalent to the softer settings on the buzz specs.

Another one for you guys...GAB shocks for BE/BH's. These are apparently relabled AGX's by KYB. My question is why don't they bring it over here?

Believe it's against Forum rules in anything other than the "For Sale" and "Group Buy" subforums

I'll PM you when we know pricing and availability ( might take several days )

We kinda skirt the forum rules since we have no classified section specific to Legacys

You might; but a moderator will remove my posting
Have you tried over at www.legacygt.com?

A Legacy-exclusive and very friendly bunch of folks

JapanParts sponsors the Site and we've had a couple of successful Group Buys lately too ( apologies for the shameless commercial )

^^^^ legacygt.com is a great site but it's mostly aimed at the BL/BP guys. I would also like to know how much these shocks would be if you could get them. Zip is 19343.

I don't think I've ever seen a mod in the Leg forum remove a valid, registered vendor FS post.

But, you can always PM me a price and then I'll simply post it in this thread.

The guys are right, we've always allowed vendor FS posts in this forum because we don't have a Legacy-specific classified (even though it's been requested a few times). If you have any more details you can give us, we'd appreciate it.

So AGX's stiffest setting equal Buzz's softest setting ? Is that correct ?

Yes, around there; granted it makes sense as the Buzz-specs are basically KYB's circuit racing offering. AGX's are more enthusiast level. On top of that, you can't run regular height springs with the Buzz specs. At least 1" drop stiffer springs are required as they use shortened strut bodies.

Also, I think the buzz specs are pretty expensive; the $280 in that auction was for one strut

LOL! OK, still working on those

KYB are the OEM maker for lots of Genuine + Aftermarket manufacturers, but it's near impossible to deal with them direct here ( 'cos they're a HUGE company )
so we're playing the "who handshakes with who" game right now

Bear with us!::

Default KYB BUZZ Spec. followup

BUZZ SPEC, only applies to the Legacy Sedan (BE), so the Legacy BE Sedan is a Fit for these

But: **!!!These do NOT fit the Legacy BH Wagon!!!

Maker confirms these Sets are *out-of-production* but JapanParts has located 3 x Sets of NOS ( that's New Old Stock, not nitrous, BTW )

and will sell these US$1,149 a set including priority freight to USA or Canada

So before I get a dozen PM's asking "Oh, does that price include Freight?" the answer is: YES, it does ( ! )
and "Oh, will these fit my BH Wagon?" the answer is : NO, these won't (! )

PM me to followup; once these are gone, they're gone

Payment can be by PAYPAL, Card, or Bank transfer to our SoCal account, details by PM

Expect 10-15 days delivery

Hello Graham.

Would you be able to provide some data about KYB BUZZ in term of rebound setting, rate etc ? Could you find out more feedback on BUZZ vs AGX from the maker ? Is it true that BUZZ softest setting = AGX hardest setting ? Also do BUZZ require a lowering spring to go with ?

Thank you

Regards

Andy
