Default Dash bulb question about my 2000 Legacy GT

I need to replace a dash bulb, in my 2000 subaru legacy GT. I was wondering if anyone knew how easy it was to do, and if so step by step how would I go about doing it? If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Jon

Pretty easy to do, finding a replacement bulb is probably the hardest part.

You'll have to take apart most of the dash to do it;

Start with shifter trim(held on by clips, pops off),
Remove coin cup(2 screws),
Remove ashtray(1-2 screws underneath),
Remove "wood grain" center console surround(held on by clips, pops off),
Remove "wood grain" foglight/etc switch bank to left of steering wheel(held on by clips)
Remove gauge surround/vents(multiple screws/clips, don't forget to remove harness for hazard switch, slide out over steering column towards passenger side of car)
Remove gauge cluster(4-5 screws).

Determine bulb that is faulty, replace. You can unplug the cluster if need be for more space, you'll only lose the trip-meter info/clock info.

That should be about it. Good luck!

EDIT: I assumed you had a cluster bulb out, but after re-reading it could be any bulb on the dash. Which bulb is out?
