Default Inside Fan is Noisy - how do I get to it?

The heating/air conditioning fan on my MY00 RS sounds like a hyper cricket . I'm pretty sure it's a bad bearing, so how do I get to it so I can tweak it?

I'd just like to know where it's located and what panels I need to take off... and how. Can someone at least give me a hint how to take out the center storage compartment on the dashboard (after I took out the two screws).

thanks,
joe

Follow your ears! The blower fan is on the right side, under the glove box. 3 screws on the bottom and it drops out.

Thumbs up

Thank you, thank you. I took out the fan, ripped it apart, put some oil here and there, put it back in, and so far so good. I'm glad it was so easy to get to.

thanks,
joe
