I just order my megan dp for my 06 and it is catless. I was wondering if any one is having any problems with a catless dp on their 06? Should i sell it and get a catted one. If its not really that big of a deal, Im going to just put it on. i already have em. thanks all

I don't have an 06 but I do have the megan catless DP. You should be fine with EM, although there are lots of stories of boost creep problems with 06's floating around here.

I'm running a catless DP (Cobb) with stock CBE and Cobb AP. No bost creep or leaky exhaust. Nice setup and very stealthy.

Before you go trying to fix boost creep, you should make sure you actually are having boost creep.
Not that it isnt likely, but there is no sense doing anything about it until you know you have it. Not everyone does. The solution is porting the wastegate. More specifically, reshaping the entry into the wastegate passage. |

This is dependant on your capacity to remove the turbo from the car. If you can do it, then you can port your own turbo, if not, then you can't.

I'd personally suggest making sure it creeps with the dp AND EM. The 06 is going to need EM to run safely.
I had my WG ported and it didnt do too much for the creep. Once I had EM it was under control...MAYBE in a LONG 5th WOT pull it might start to creep but I doubt it would go to far and besides I dont go that fast so I dont worry about it... So get your dp with EM. See if it creeps then go from there... |
