Default Opinion/Input needed regarding brullen header and aircare

I'm thinking of getting the brullen header. I'm wondering by installing the header and replacing the 2 cats with the one hi flow that comes with the header, will I pass visual inspection assuming the inspectors know something about our cars coming with 2. Thanks in advance

Ken

The people at air care usually doesn't know what they are looking for. As long as you have a cat in your car it would be fine. But I am not too sure if you'll get a low enough reading with only one high flow cat. But give it a shot and tell me how it goes cuz I'll be running one cat too later when I get my turbo in. Also who are you getting your stuff from?

if u have a high flow cat....u might still not pass the emission test....chance is 50/50 w/ any header installed....most of the time i heard fail more than pass....and since it is supposed to be 2 cats and u replaced w/ one high flow....the chance for u to pass is even lower....

yeah....as for inspectors at air care center....they know nth and their training is really *****ty....even cop won't give u too much trouble compare to u have straight pipe, no cat at all....

My bro got a header for his car and the reading from before (a year before) and the result after seems almost compairable just a bit higher since the cat is one year older. So I don't think a header will affect the result too much..

thanks guys I think this helps a little, I don't want to have to change the header back and forth to pass aircare so I think I'm gonna hold on the header and save $1000+ Dang aircare wish my car was home was in the interior where there is no sniffer test.

If you go over the thread again, there is the statement that it will
pass the ON clean air tests. If you can get the specs on that and
compare it to BC's, you should be able to confirm whether it'll
pass there or not.

I don't know guys. It really is a hit andd miss situation. If you don't pass, it won't be by much and you might have a nice guy doing your test and they could always suggest a way to make it pass and still look like stock readings.
