CNC 'd heads, cams
DB18g/EWG - F/S $8K
Higher CR w/ StgII cams and CNC'd heads.
As of right now my CR will be right around 8.78:1 (according to this calculator http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html). One of my heads was warped and required about .008" of milling. My builder thinks I lost about 1cc of chamber volume, which is fine by me. I'm also assuming the deck height will be around .001" less after resurfacing (or .37mm instead of .39mm). Everything will be measured (even the chamber volume) and calculated before final assembly (honest blueprint job). I'm going to keep the milling to a minimum since I don't want to ruin the cam timing, but I'm wondering if I should aim for something more like 8.9:1? It's difficult to calculate how milling will affect the combustion chamber volume. The .25mm I'm willing to mill away (per head) may not make much of a difference.
Supporting mods worth noting:
CNC'd WRX heads (program based on heavily ported v7 heads)
Crower Stage II cams, springs, retainers
SMC (pure meth) injection with m15 nozzle
I'm mainly looking for tons of low boost torque but still squeeze high 11's out of this setup.
