Default Lemme see them DIY headlight mods!

I'm looking for an '02 WRBP with the headlight mod done black. I need a front pic, a little way back from the car (not the super close ones I found in my searches!) Sorry to be so picky, but I am debating whether or not to do it.

hehe actually, i owe that all to the lighting. My car's not really that shiny. But it looks good no? I use Blue Coral Car Wash to clean it.... And I don't really have a preference on the wax... just whatever high-quality wax is at hand...

The front lip is a replica lip from Primitive.

Question

i've seen plenty people do the blackout inside the headlamps but has anyone considered colour-coding any portion of the headlamps? i was wondering how that might look on a silver rex.

I think doing the full top black looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing, but the trim only mod is cool too.

did you lose any effectiveness of your blinker, as in it doesn't reflect? I always thought it was just smarter to not paint those reflectors, but it does look sweet.

Im sure there was some sort of loss of reflectivity when painting the reflective area black, but its not to an extent where its hazardous, or unrecognizable, so it works out fine.

Actually, I think that the signal lights were pretty useless in the daytime on cars that had the signal area painted completely black. To each his own though.

It's amazing how much better that makes the headlights look. Subaru should paint those things from the factory

Looks like the STOCK blinker bulb to me. Pep-boys has some amber-colored 1156 bulbs to put in there.

Yep, it is an STI scoop As for the blinbkers, I think that they actually are brighter during the day (or atleast more noticable), due to the total black that gets lit up by the light.
