Default So boredom set in

I went on a little test driving spree today.

First stop Anchorage Dodge, test drove the brand new Dodge Nitro. The interior in this thing is really nice, but after driving it, it left me hoping that they eventually put a V8 in it. The 3.7 V6 its sports is just not enough.

Next Stop Stanley Motors, where my friend wanted to test drive an Evo IX MR. After a lengthy, drawn-out credit check, they weren't going to let us drive it, but when my friend assured them that if he really wanted it that he would write them a check for the full amount, they handed us the keys and we were off. I must say I don't know how you Evo/STi guy's drive your car around when the roads are the way they've been recently. Everytime we'd get the car into boost the ass end wanted to step out on it. We did however finally find a dry spot on the Glenn, and I must say I'm very impressed with the power delivery the Evo has.

On to the next stop. I've had my eye on the '04 WRX Wagon sitting at Affordable for a while, well pretty much since its been there. So I finally went and drove it. I really couldn't see anything wrong with it other than the annoying fact you can't shift to 1st without coming to a complete stop. I really wan't this car, but I know that I really can't afford it right now. Oh well I had fun.

Even for the Wrx it has the same issue on WOT. Better yet Hank gave me a ride on New Seward and went completly sideways when he stepped on it...scared the piss out of me.. needless to say Hank got pretty quiet to

I forgot to mention that one of the times we got the ass end to step out, I looked back and the saleperson was as white as a ghost. Luckily my friend had full control of the situation and brought the car under control. I just kinda chuckled.

Yeah, I did the same thing on Friday. Auto Country here in Soldotna has a blue 06 Evo with 6000 miles on it. I had never been in one, so I took it for a test drive. It had the stock summer tires on it. I also made my sales guy very nervous. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a sense of how much power it had relative to my stage 2 wrx. It just wouldn't hook up very well when I got on it... Nice car, though.

They were asking $29.5k; it had a continuously glowing "service engine soon" light.
