Default Anyone have pics of kick pods for front components?

When I endup doing component speakers up front I make some kick pods for best imaging. I plan on getting the very best, Dynaudio. Either a the 3 way that comes with a 7" midbass, 3" mid, and tweeter or 2 way components with the 7" midbass and tweeter. I'd like to see any of you STi audiophiles post pics of your custom kick pods, state who did them whether it was you or a shop, and how you like them.

If I don't go this route I may use the horn loaded compression drivers by USD and a 7" Dynaudio midbass in a kick pod. I still have the hand made fiberglass horns used in the Speakerworks competition vehicles.

I think I've only seen two or three guys on here do kicks. Most avoid them like the plague for numerous reasons (difficulty, easy to crush your drivers during shifting, blah blah blah).

Also, a 7" in a kick is HUGE. If you go the three way route why don't you put the 7" in the door and then do kicks for the mid and tweet? Research shows that sound below 200 hz is extremely, if not impossible, for humans to distinguish height so it shouldn't screw up your imaging much, if at all. A 3" mid and a tweet should do just fine in a kick as there should be enough room to keep it small, yet large enough for the drivers.

Have you checked over on www.diymobileaudio.com and www.elitecaraudio.com ? There are tons of guys doing kicks over there...even a turtorial on DIYMA if I'm remembering right.

I know anything below 200hz has a wide dispersion and is not so critcal. As a audiophile purist I'll try to get them all on the same plane. Thanks for the info. If anyone has them please post your pics.

I'd like to see them. Could you make some just by knowing what brand and dimensions of the drivers?
