Default utec w/ ecuflash

ok i have my car tuned with utec, would reflashing the stock ecu to a map closer to the utec values make the transition from ecu to utec smoother, also should i reflash the ecu with 550cc injector info since i have them, or since the utec is controlling fuelling does it matter.

I am not very knowledgable about UTECs but I believe they are different than stock ECU and they're not a basic swap conversion. I know there are people here that have done it here so if one of them can chime in, they'll be more helpful. My post is pretty useless

Default utec

what I mean is my ecu is stock, my utec is a stage 4 map, if my ecu had a reflash that was closer to stage 4 when the utec takes over it shouldnt be as much of a difference in timing, fuel etc...

Set up the stock ECU/reflash to be your low boost safe running map, with the Utec set to map0. Then use the utec for the high boost high power maps. To do this corectly you will have to jump the MAP sense so the stock ECU "sees" the real MAP voltage for boost control.
You should have a much smoother car after the reflash, as the Utec is not doing as much "work" to get the tune where you want it.
