Sweet. Thats pretty sick for a basicly stock setup.

Too bad they didnt use the sound of the actual pass... I wonder why? I love the sound of those cars.

These cars obviously have a lot of potential, but seem pretty weak stock when reading the magazine tests. One of the guys in my local SCCA club bought one. He sold his 99 cobra that he autox'd and will start using his GT500--it will be interesting to see it in action. He is a pretty good driver, but I don't know if anyone can overcome 2-tons of physics.

Why bother putting a 75 shot of nos on that thing? Nos doesn't do much on top-end power and that thing has a ton of low-end torque.

BTW, I'm not stating this because I'm an expert at Mustangs because I'm not. Nor am I hating, because that car is sick as hell.

Ford lists the GT500's curb weight at 3,920 pounds in coupe form and 4,040 pounds for the convertible, throw in a fat american driver and you're OVER 4000 pounds in both cases.

The Mustang GT might weigh 3600, but the GT500 goes to an iron block and weighs about 300 lbs more after adding larger wheels, brakes, etc.

9.9 already, damn... They just came out...

That last scene where he is launching on a regular road and you can really hear the SC humming is awesome.

And it's a 4000lb + car that would whoop you so bad it wouldn't even look like a race. Then all you would be left to do is post some more hate on our board.

A 75 shot on those cars makes 150 lbft of torque and probably another 100+ HP. The NOS doubles as a air charge cooler.

With stock tires yes. With better tires and the suspension they have installed it will dead hook.
